ICT Diffusion, Foreign Direct Investment and Inclusive Growth in Sub-Saharan Africa

This study examines the joint effects of ICT diffusion (composed access, usage and skills), foreign direct investment (FDI) on inclusive growth in sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). The draws data from World Bank’s Development Indicators, Global Consumption Income Project for period 1980–2019 analysis. provides evidence robust to several specifications ordinary least squares dynamic system GMM estimation techniques show that: (1) unconditionally, both FDI induce SSA; (2) compared its effect, is remarkable fostering shared SSA presence FDI, (3) relative access usage, skills more effective enhancing SSA. Overall, modulates our dynamics engender positive synergy growth. Policy recommendations are provided line with implementation African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Agreement projected rise 2022.
